The History of United Haitian Baptist Church

This church was founded in September 1988 by a group of brothers and sisters who stood up for Christ against tyrannies and promiscuities. The first services, after having been spread out, were held in the living rooms of two families of the church.  At that time the name United Haitian Baptist Church was given to the congregation.  It has been our determination to live up to our name.  We will not grow if we do not work in unity. Less than 5 years we became the biggest Haitian Baptist congregation in West Palm Beach, Florida.   In 1990 we bought the church property on Charles Street, and three years later (1993), we bought the actual property at 2015 Parker Ave, West Palm Beach, FL 33401.  Six years later, in 1999, we sent the last mortgage payment on the property.  Praise the Lord we were mortgage debt free!

The church had been through trials and tribulations, yet God had never forsaken us; it is a church that believes in prayer.

We have realized that we must be led by God.  He is the only one who can deliver our family from the evil one. Indeed, our Lord Jesus Christ lived in perfect communion with God the Father and with men. He lived in obedience, in humility, away from unhealthy things. Rebuild our dignity as a church of Jesus Christ must be matched to the requirements of our Lord and recommendations of the Scriptures. It is the Holy Spirit who gives pastors, deacons and leaders in the Church to glorify God and edify the saints. The reconstruction is possible when the hierarchy emanating from God, each in his own order, is respected and appreciated by all leaders and members of the Church.

We would like to welcome all our brothers and sisters, who have decided to join us to praise the name of the Lord Jesus-Christ and to declare that we cannot do it without Him and Him alone. We have the best men and women on leadership. Some are of world renown, but we have, at last, realized that we must depend on the presence of the Lord. We believe in the absolute authority of the inspired Scriptures. The new leadership of the church is a cooperative decision making group: Pastors, Deacons, and Executive Committee.  We are a Haitian Southern Baptist congregation; decisions need to have the approbation of the acting leaders and members.

United Haitian Baptist Church is a Christian church in action for a community. We have many different ministries to serve the needs of our church and the community. We believe in the Great Commission of our Lord and Savior Jesus-Christ to go and make disciples, by reaching the community through His love, (Mathieu 28: 18-20). Let us pray for our preachers; so they can be under the complete control of the Holy Spirit. Let us pray, at last, for the Love of God to be upon us so we can say: “Lord, you know everything…we love you, and we want to walk worthy of you”.
